(KBCW) – When the Golden Globe nominations were announced, a tweet was sent out through @goldenglobes Thursday morning announcing “@HereIsGina is kicking off the @goldenglobes nominations announcements #GoldenGlobes.” @HereIsGina is actually ‘Jane The Virgin’ star Gina Rodriguez while “Ugly Betty” actress American Ferrera was actually the one on stage, “kicking off” the nominations.

The tweet included a photo of the event with Ferrera clearly at the podium making the nomination announcements. While co-presenters Angela Bassett, Chloë Grace Moretz and Dennis Quaid looked on close-by


A second tweet was sent out, again mistakenly tagging Gina Rodriguez and not missing America Ferrera.

Early in the year, Rodriguez won Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical for her role in ‘Jane The Virgin’ where she gvae an emotional speech, dedicating her award to the Latino community. She is once again up for the same award this year.
