Halloween inspires us to get in touch with our spooky side, but transgender advocates are calling one costume advertised for the upcoming season downright frightening.

Under the mens and humorous category, CostumeSuperCenter.com is selling an adult-sized “Call Me Caitlyn” adult costume for $74.99.

The costume, complete with padded top and a “Call Me Caitlyn” sash mimics Caitlyn Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover. The advertisement features a tattooed man wearing the costume with a description underneath which says:

“Feel empowered while giving a nod to pop culture this Halloween when you dress up in the Call Me Caitlyn Adult Costume. This ensemble was inspired by the outfit worn by the newly named Caitlyn when she appeared in a revealing cover story for Vanity Fair magazine for their July 2015 issue. With this look you will receive shorts, a padded top, a pageant sash and a wig. The padded, form-fitting white top will give you a voluptuous chest, and has a corset-like design. The white short shorts finish off the simple look Caitlyn wore to the cover shoot. The woman that you’re portraying will become apparent when you put on the included wig and sash, which reads, “Call Me Caitlyn” referring to the quote printed on the magazine’s cover for that issue. You’ll definitely stand out when you make a statement by dressing up in this awesome costume!”

Many on social media called the costume offensive.

Change.org petition was created targeting Spirit Halloween, another online retailer selling the costume.

The “Stop Exploiting Caitlyn Jenner with a Transphobic Costume” petition has over 2,700 signatures as of Tuesday morning.

“With a reputation of sexist, racist, and culturally appropriative costumes, we are concerned that this costume will continue your oppressive tradition with a transphobic costume of Caitlyn Jenner,” petition creator and genderqueer activist Addison Rose Vincent said. “Yes, as your PR and marketing head Trisha Lombardo stated in an interview, Caitlyn Jenner is a hero and celebrated in modern day culture, but that doesn’t excuse the exploitation and transphobia you’ll be committing this Halloween.”
