Andrew Kreisberg, executive producer, spoke to Variety.com on Lonsdale’s arrival. “Just like when we met Grant for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero,” Kreisberg said. “We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show.”

In the comics, Wally West is the nephew to Iris West (Candice Patton) who will eventually start up superhero group “Teen Titans” and one-day take up the mantle of The Flash. Kid Flash’s second season inclusion was mentioned at San Diego Comic-Con as well as Zoom, the next season’s villain.
