SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Hundreds of runners will take to the streets of San Francisco on Sunday, April 6 for the second Annual Transamerica Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon. After winding its way through the city, the 13 mile run will end at Civic Center Plaza where the indie band “The Neighbourhood” will perform on stage.
The Neighbourhood co-headlined radio station Live 105’s holiday show “Not So Silent Night” and blew the roof over the Oracle Arena. Expect the same kind of excitement to come off when the band lives up to the name of the marathon. Working up the crowd with some of their hits like “Afraid,” “I’m Sorry…” and “Sweater Weather” from their full length album, “I Love You” released in April 2013.READ MORE: FRESH for Fall on KBCW

The three-day event kicks off on Friday, April 4 with a free two-day Health & Fitness Expo at Moscone Center featuring the latest health & nutrition information, product sampling and fitness clinics.
The marathon itself starts early Sunday morning at Ocean Beach on the Great Highway, then shoots its way north though the Richmond District.
