LOS ANGELES (CBS SF) – 82 year-old star of the classic sci-fi series “Star Trek,” Nichelle Nichols suffered a mild stroke Wednesday night. She is awake and resting in a Los Angeles hospital, reports TMZ.
Nichols is best known for her role as Lieutenant Uhura in the 60’s television series and the original six big screen blockbusters. Notably, Nichols appeared in 1986′ “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” where scenes were shot in San Francisco.
Nichols is under observation while her doctors conduct tests on how severe of a stroke she suffered.
