SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Chipotle uses 48 avocados for each batch of its seriously delicious guacamole, but it only takes two avocados to replicate that creamy concoction at home now that the restaurant chain has released their recipe to Mexican food lovers around the world for Cinco De Mayo.

The recipe includes tips for choosing the right avocados, which “should feel squishy yet firm (like the palm of your hand), and be a nice dark green color on the inside.”

Of course the most important step in the process is the tasting.  The recipe instructs guacamole artists to “taste the guacamole (over and over) and adjust seasoning if necessary.”

Here’s the full recipe:

  • 2 ripe Hass avocados
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp cilantro (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup red onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 jalapeno, including seeds (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
