The San Jose and Silicon Valley branch of the NAACP will hold a rally to end what they say is police abuse at 5 p.m. at city hall plaza after the police shooting in Ferguson, Missouri.
Leaders and business owners will talk about ‘tanking the tax’ in San Jose, where they’re supporting a bill that delays the new hidden gas tax.
In San Francisco, UC Berkeley economists will present their findings from a study about the effects of the minimum wage ballot measure, which proposes a $15-an hour minimum wage by 2018.
Fremont and Union City Unified School Districts will be back to class Wednesday, and all but one of Napa Valley’s schools are expected to reopen also. Stonebridge Charter School will remain closed.
Four Barrel Coffee will be offering free drinks at the Mission District shop to celebrate the company’s birthday.
