(CBS NEWS/KBCW) – The movie version of “Fifty Shades of Grey” has its lead female and male stars.
Actress Dakota Johnson will portray Anastasia Steele on the big screen in the Universal Pictures and Focus Features film.
Johnson comes from a family of actors; she’s the daughter of “Nash Bridges” star Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, step-daughter of Antonio Banderas and granddaughter of “The Birds” star, of Tippi Hedren. Dakota starred in “The Social Network,” “The Five-Year Engagement” and “21 Jump Street.” The 23-year-old actress has also appeared in the TV series “Ben and Kate” and guest-starred on “The Office.”
Now she’ll tackle the role of Steele, a recent college graduate — with little sexual experience — who gets caught up in a romance with wealthy entrepreneur Christian Grey, who will be played by “Sons of Anarchy” star Charlie Hunnam.

Hunnan has also appeared in the films “Cold Mountain,” “Children of Men” and “The Ledge.” For the role, Hunnan beat out such names like Robert Pattinson, Ryan Gosling, and CW stars Stephen Amell of “Arrow” and Ian Somerhalder of “The Vampire Diaries.”
