‘The Package Tour’ To Bring Boy Bands To Bay Area
SAN JOSE (CW BAY AREA) – New Kids on the Block has announced its summer trek, and the tour line-up reads like a boy-band dream tour.
NKOTB will hit the road with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men on “The Package Tour” this summer with a Bay Area stop at the HP Pavilion in San Jose on July 7. All three groups paid a visit to “The View” on Tuesday to announce the news. It marks 98 Degrees’ first tour in 12 years. The boy band reunited last summer to play a one-off show in Hershey, Pa.
The outing kicks gets under way May 31 in Uncasville, Conn., and is set to wind down on July 13 in Minneapolis.
To coincide with the tour, the New Kids will release a new album, called “10,” on April 2. The lead single, “Remix (I Like The),” will be out on Jan. 28.
“Ladies, we’re coming for you,” said NKOTB member Donnie Wahlberg in a statement. “This is going to be the craziest year yet-the single, the album, the tour with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men … We can’t wait to give fans ‘The Package!’”
“We are really excited to get back on the road together and tour with our friends in NKOTB and Boyz II Men. Looking forward to playing our hits and trying out some of our new tracks too,” said 98 Degrees’ Nick Lachey.
Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men said, “This has been in the works for a while…’The Package’ is on its way, and we’re going to deliver.”
Tickets for “The Package” start going on sale on Feb. 2 via Ticketmaster. American Express card members can get advance tickets this Friday.
New Kids on the Block previously toured with the Backstreet Boys under the name NKOTBSB.
